My whole life I read "gender non-conforming" as "gender non-confronting"

treating butch and gender non-conforming lesbians and bi women with love and respect
Reminder that transmascs who are very feminine, transfems who are very masculine, and non-binary people who aren’t androgynous at all still deserve their pronouns to be respected.
Presentation does not equal pronouns or gender identity, and this especially goes for people who choose to be gender non-conforming.
Be respectful, ask for pronouns even if you’re 100% sure, you may be surprised.
something i feel like queer ppl have been steadily forgetting over the last ten years or so is that “genderqueer” isn’t a specific nonbinary term, or even a synonym for nonbinary - it’s an umbrella term that encompasses nonbinariness and more.
